Edward C. Agee

Founding Partner

Ed began his accounting career in 1971 with Price Waterhouse in North Carolina, followed by a four year international stint, implementing various international accounting standards. After organizing a regional firm, which was subsequently merged into Touche Ross & Co., Ed, along with Jack Fisher, formed what is now AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC in 1984. It was Ed’s leadership, dedication, talent and panache that was instrumental in making the Firm what it is today. Sadly, Ed passed away in November 2009, but his legacy lives on in AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC, a center of excellence in the Atlanta accounting community.

Jack E. Fisher

Founding Partner

Jack began his career with the IRS as a Revenue Agent in 1972. He was in tax and audit at Price Waterhouse for five years, partner-in-charge at the Atlanta office of a regional accounting firm, and started Fisher & Company in 1982. In 1984, he and his long time friend and colleague, Ed Agee, formed what is now AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC.

The scope of Jack’s experience is extremely diversified, including specialized tax, IRS litigation work and mergers and acquisitions. No longer with the firm, Jack has been heavily involved in real estate and has successfully developed several low density conservation easements in North Carolina.

Jack graduated magna cum laude from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the North Carolina Society of Certified Public Accountants (NCSCPA).
